MS-Docblog in English

Multiple sclerosis is international and so is MS-Docblog: The blogs written by Prof. Mathias Mäurer are now also available in English: MS-Docblog.de in English.

www.ms-docblog.de has been around for ten years. On this page, the chief physician Prof. Mathias Mäurer blogs about current topics, summarizes highlights from multiple sclerosis conferences, and explains the many details about life with MS in a patient-friendly manner. So far the blogs have only been published in German Now they are available in English, too.

Mäurer covers a wide range of topics. Such as possible side effects of MS therapies. Or what you need to consider during pregnancy. How to manage symptoms such as Uhthoff phenomenon or fatigue. And again and again he takes on controversial topics or alternative methods that are often and widely advertised on the Internet. The latter frequently have one main side effect: less money in your wallet.

In short: Prof. Mathias Mäurer takes up the topics in MS-Docblog that are currently affecting the MS community. Be it the Mollii Suit or Vitamin D. Be it the BTKi (brute tyrosine kinase inhibitors) or the decision: Hit hard and early? CAR T-cell therapy, switching between MS therapies or even the legitimate question of when you should stop a therapy.

MS-Docblog: current and practical

As head of neurology at the Würzburg-Mitte Hospital, Prof. Mathias Mäurer sees patients with multiple sclerosis every day. Questions that concern them are often relevant to a larger group. Mäurer transforms these topics from everyday practice into generally understandable articles for the Internet. And the “blogging neurologist” continually picks up on suggestions and topics from the comments: expertise on demand, so to speak.

MS-Docblog wants to reach as many people with MS as possible. It's a shame to only share this wealth of knowledge with German-speaking readers. That's why all text articles and newsletters are now also available in English. So that interested parties around the world can easily access it. And last but not least, there are readers in German-speaking countries who understand English better than German.

Several hundred articles have been published on MS-Docblog over the past ten years. All almost 300 texts have now been translated into English using artificial intelligence. Every new text is translated directly. What is still pending is the translation of the MS Docblog videos into English.
